Calm Care Reiki honours the 100 year legacy of traditional Japanese Reiki spiritual healing practice.
Preserving whole person vitality is the most important thing you can do for yourself and your life with others.
Unreleased stress, emotions and toxins disrupt your health by restricting the flow of oxygen, nutrients and life energy throughout your body. Rest, release and renewal happen best during deep rest.
The Reiki therapeutic experience supports deep restorative rest, allows stress release, focuses life energy, activates the inner healing response, improves circulation, rebalances depletion and excess, calms mental chatter, restores clarity of mind, helps manage pain and naturally supports recovery from illness and injury.
Reiki care is gentle. The qualified Reiki Practitioner is experienced at holding safe space for others and focusing nurturing life energy using their hands. Anyone can be trained in the Reiki system who can surrender to the mystery of life energy, can appreciate the health benefits of quiet rest and can be compassionate without being controlling.
Reiki Practitioners are not qualified to counsel, diagnose illness or prescribe medication.
I consider the spiritual and therapeutic practice of Reiki to be a life long learning experience.
My study of traditional Japanese Reiki started in 2011 at the Zen Centre of Vancouver where I have earned Master Level Practitioner and Teacher certification. I continue to deepen my practice with the International House of Reiki. I am a Registered Teacher with the Canadian Reiki Association and contribute to their quarterly newsletters.
My community teaches me every day about the strength of the human spirit and the potential in everyone for healing, or in other words, returning to wholeness.
I bring the calm, caring and consistent approach of my daily Reiki self practice to the therapeutic sessions I provide to people from all walks of life and to animals.
