Preserving whole person vitality is the most important thing you can do for yourself and your life with others.
Reiki is an energy therapy from Japan that creates the conditions for deep relaxation which promotes natural healing responses in mind and body. It is non-invasive and the benefits are cumulative. A certified and experienced Reiki Practitioner holds safe space and focuses nurturing life energy using their hands. Reiki Practitioners are not qualified to counsel, diagnose illness or prescribe medication.
Unreleased stress, emotions and toxins disrupt your health by restricting the flow of oxygen, nutrients and life energy throughout your body. The Reiki therapeutic experience allows for stress release, improved circulation, calming mental chatter for clarity of mind, transforming energy depletion and excess, easing the pain response, supporting recovery from illness and injury.
Calm Care Reiki specializes in traditional Japanese method Reiki and honours its 100 year legacy since its development by Mikao Usui. Anyone can be trained in the Usui Reiki system who can surrender to the mystery of life energy, appreciate the health benefits of quiet rest and be unconditionally compassionate.
I consider the spiritual and therapeutic practice of Reiki to be a life long learning experience.
My study of traditional Japanese Reiki started in 2011 at the Zen Centre of Vancouver where I have earned Master Level Practitioner and Teacher certification. I continue to deepen my practice with the International House of Reiki in Australia. I am a Registered Teacher with the Canadian Reiki Association and the International Association of Reiki Professionals. I contribute to the CRA quarterly online newsletter.
My community teaches me every day about the strength and creativity of the human spirit and the potential in everyone for healing, or in other words, returning to wholeness.
I bring the calm and committed approach of my daily Reiki self practice to the therapeutic sessions I provide to people from all walks of life as well as to animals.
